Children Who Stammer
Stammering is a natural variation in speech that often starts between the ages of 2 and 5 years. Sometimes the onset of stammering is gradual, for others it may feel sudden, but either way it can be worrying for a parent. Some children repeat sounds or words, whilst others may stretch out sounds or just get completely stuck for a moment. It may be that your child has commented on their words e.g. 'I can't say it' or 'my words won't come out'. Older children may be able to tell you about moments that are more challenging for them to talk in, such as answering questions or the register.

I offer specialist assessment and therapy for children who stammer, helping families understand what stammering is, why it happens, and how to support communication with confidence. Parents are central to the process, ensuring your child never feels alone in their journey.
I offer compassionate, evidence-based support that honours each individual's voice and builds confidence in their communication.

Adults Who Stammer
You may have looked into therapy for adults who stammer before or this could be your first time. You may have had therapy as a child or teenager. Stammering may be getting in the way of you socialising or perhaps fulfilling your role at work, it could even be impacting on every aspect of your life. By adulthood some people who stammer have become experts in hiding their stammer but that gets in the way of just being you - and can be quite exhausting.

Therapy draws on a range of evidence‑based approaches, tailored to your goals and lived experiences. Sessions offer space to explore thoughts, feelings and communication patterns, helping you reduce the impact of stammering and build confidence in the situations that matter most.

Whatever the reason please get in touch for an initial chat or send an email.
